Gday Camden-ites!
Tea in recent decades has become a cup-an-hour everyday enjoyment. However with the invention of the completely convenient tea bag, we have slowly begun a slide away from quality teas. Well never fear…Matt and his tea is here.
The grade of tea found in tea bags can be summed up in one simple phrase a customer said to me a few weeks back…”floor scrapings”; and he is complete right. Here’s an example. The grade of tea used in teabags by our favourite supermarket brand is classed as “Dust”…DUST! It’s the stuff left over after all the good leaves have been sieved out of it. The English Breakfast I stock is whats call “Flowery Orange Pekoe”; this means that the tea consists of whole leaves with good strength and a very high quality. The aroma is gentle with a peachy undertone. No need to drink floor scrapings anymore when you come to my stall…I’ll tell you that much for free .
So if you enjoy a good cuppa then come and have a chat next market. There’s always a sample to taste and teas to stick your nose in. I have a quality tea for practically everybody; not matter if you enjoy the floral herbals, spicy chai blends or well rounded black teas…and soon…MEDICINAL!
Talk soon,
Matt
